This fall, Pacifica’s VAPA program delivered vibrant performances to send students off to Thanksgiving Break warmly. The Coffee House Cabaret, hosted by the Choir, showcased the dedication and creativity of students across the campus. Families, friends, and community members filled the seats as performers brought their hard work to the stage, making a memorable start to the holiday season.
The Coffee House Cabaret kicked off at 6:30 PM, with families and friends arriving at the auditorium to support the
vocal music program’s performances. Students who auditioned for their performances invested weeks and dedication to showcase their final solo and ensemble performances to the audience, and at the end of the event, there was a final group number with all the choirs. During this array of performances, parent boosters of the music program showed their support by hosting a coffee fundraiser to set the calm, groovy ambiance, which was a huge success. Mia Ward, a senior, describes her experience at this exciting event: “ This is my first year in Encore, so it was definit
ely really fun doing something that was personal and with people who I’m very close with. A lot of times, people don’t try out for solos and kind of keep their talents hidden, but this was an opportunity to show the talents they have. I thought it was really great to see some people have their confidence branch out. It also made me feel good seeing all these people come out to support something that each individual has created, and I, too, have put so much time into. Seeing it all play out was just really amazing.”
Overall, the Coffee House Cabaret was a huge success in celebrating the hard work and successes of the vocal music program. As our award-winning encore approaches their competition season, it’s important to note how hard these students are working leading up to their big moment, so be sure to mark your calendars for their future events in the Winter Concert on December 17, 2025. Be there or be square!
